Romanian Day: dances, flavours and crafts on 28 November
Food, crafts and traditional dances to discover Romania, Saturday 28 November, from 4 pm to 10 pm.
Evere and Haut-Evere have an active Romanian community. On Saturday 28 November, from 4 pm to 10 pm, the Neighbourhood Council invites all residents to an evening of discovery: culture, traditions and food. Admission is free and no registration is needed.
At the Simone de Beauvoir hall: a craft market with the FoodEX grocery, Romanian food prepared by the New Paduwa restaurant (mici, sarmale, cornulete cu rahat), then, at 7 pm, a traditional dance performance by the Zamfira group, followed by a taster session where everyone is invited to dance. At 6 pm, a flashmob will take place in front of the Saint-Joseph church, right after mass.
The date was chosen just before Saint Andrew's Day (30 November, patron saint of Romania) and the Romanian national day on 1 December.
